The Wright Sauce

Growing up, I was always in the kitchen and even had an Easy Bake oven at one time. I learned how to cook this way and more importantly, all my families recipes. Every year at Christmas, we would make BBQ meatballs, one of my favorite dishes.

Through the years I experimented around with the sauce and started tweaking it. I would take it to parties and people would beg me for the recipe. Whenever we ran out of whatever food I brought it on, they would dip anything in it from Doritos to veggies. It was then I knew I needed to introduce my sauce to the world. I was then very fortunate to beat out thousands of other people to appear on Lifetime TV's Supermarket Superstar. From there I have started to branch out into grocery stores.

How did you earn your first sales? Which channels are now generating the most traffic and sales for you?

My first sale came after making a post on Reddit about how my dreams were starting to come true. I had over 5000 web store visits and $3000 in sales that day. While I haven't been able to duplicate that success again, I still get a ton of traffic from Reddit. I also use to generate traffic as well.

Tell us about the back-end of your business. What tools and apps do you use to run your store? How do you handle shipping and fulfillment?

I am a bare bones kind of guy. I only use a coupon app and the personal tool bar app. I don't like to over complicate anything.

What are your top recommendations for new ecommerce entrepreneurs?

Don't give up trying. When something doesn't work, keep trying new ways. Just be sure to not make the same mistake twice!
